GPON Engineer

As a GPON Engineer, your mission is to ensure the seamless operation and expansion of our GPON network, which is at the heart of our fiber-optic infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) equipment. You will work closely with our network operations team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum network performance. You will also be involved in network expansion projects, working with our project management team to deliver high-quality, reliable network solutions.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Install, configure, and maintain GPON equipment, including OLT (Optical Line Terminal) and ONU (Optical Network Unit) devices.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of GPON networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, working closely with the network operations team to minimize downtime.
• Participate in network expansion projects, contributing to the design, implementation, and testing of new network solutions.
• Collaborate with project management and other technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of network projects.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GPON technology and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers, ensuring their networks are operational and performing at optimal levels.
• Document all network configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GPON network installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Certifications in GPON technology, such as FiberHome GPON Engineer Certification or similar, are a plus.
• Proficiency in using GPON management software, such as FiberHome's GPON Management System (GMS).
• Strong understanding of fiber-optic network principles and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
